Legalization
Regarding foreign documents legalization:
Documents should be lodged in person only, directly to the Embassy or to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania (address J. Tumo-Vaižganto g. 2, LT-01108 Vilnius). The Embassy accepts applications only from persons belonging (for example, by citizenship) to its consular district. Consular district, according to the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (in force in Lithuania since 14.02.1992), is the area assigned to a consular post for the exercise of consular functions. The area assigned to the Embassy includes Sweden only.
The legalization of Police Clearance Certificates for foreign citizens who intend to study in Lithuania is done at MFA of the Republic of Lithuania through the educational institutions. The students should contact the educational institutions in Lithuania, in which they plan to study and to clarify the process of legalization of documents.
