THE VISIT OF THE PRIME MINISTER OF LITHUANIA TO STOCKHOLM ON THE 9TH JUNE, 2010

The Prime Minister of Lithuania Mr. Andrius Kubilius has paid his working visit to Stockholm on the 9th June, 2010. The purpose of the visit was to support dynamic and intensive bilateral economic relations between both countries and present Swedish investors with Lithuanian Government’s steps in developing knowledge based economy, and discuss the new business opportunities for Swedish companies and financial institutions. Mr. Andrius Kubilius has met the Prime Minister of Sweden Mr. Fredrik Reinfeldt. The Prime Minister’s delegation also involved the Lithuanian Minister of Economy Mr. Dainius Kreivys.

The visit included meetings with the leading Swedish companies and private equity funds such as “East Capital”, “Kinnevik”, “Bonnier” where Prime Minister talked about Lithuania’s economic outlook and present potential for further cooperation to foster bilateral business relationship. Two round table discussions with a number of key Swedish investors involved discussions to share their views and experience of doing business in Lithuania.

Mr A. Kubilius also gave an interview for the “Financial Times”.
