Symbolic closing of Lithuanian EU Presidency in Sweden celebrated by a festal concert
A concert for the symbolic closing of Lithuanian EU Presidency was held in Sodra Theater on December 2. The spectators saw a performance by Neda and Vytautas Labutis’s jazz quartet. The program included original songs and arrangements of jazz standards. The event was attended by more than 300 diplomats, politicians, culture and business representatives, Lithuanian community members. The concert was opened by the ambassador Eitvydas Bajarūnas, who underlined that the EU Presidency is a huge responsibility, but also an opportunity to present Lithuanian culture and art.
The event was hosted by actress Gabija Ryškuvienė. The spectators had an opportunity to win a trip to Lithuania, which was donated by Lithuanian Tourism Bureau in Nordic countries.
