Lithuanian artists are planning to ‚take over‘ Visby and fill its streets with unexpected music sounds on the 18-19th of July. As a part of the project „Dimensija 08“ a group of 10 artists will be sailing to Gotland on Lithuania‘s biggest training sailing vessel „Brabander“ lead by the Captain Valdemaras Vizbaras.
The artists will held different music performances in various places around Visby. The idea behind this project is to capture artists (musicians and composers) performing in very different environments and create a film about arts’ relations to space and landscape. Another part of the event is an improvised concert of Antanas Kučinskas, a well known composer in Lithuania who is going to perform a conceptual organ work “Organ Sound Music" and some other pieces in Visby Cathedral.
Lithuanian jazz masters - Raimondas Sviackevičius, Jonas Maksimovičius, Arkadijus Gotesmanas and Liudas Mockūnas will perform in the festival „Jazz Bridge“ to be held in Karlshamn on the 29-30th August.
