Relations of Swedish and Lithuanian Scouts Organisations discussed in Stockholm
On the 26th of January, 2014 Lithuanian Ambassador in Stockholm and the leaders of Swedish Scouts organisation discussed the possibilities to strengthen the relations between the Scouts organisations of the two countries. Among the guests, in the meeting, held in the Ambassador’s residency, there were couple of Swedish Scouts organisation leaders who are highly involved in the matters of the European Scouts Foundation and in the Friends of Scouting in Europe organisation. Representatives of these organisations are coming to Lithuanian later this year, where joint projects with Lithuanian scouts will be discussed.
One of the main focuses in the meeting was to develop civil society cooperation. It was agreed that Swedish scouts being more experienced in the matter will share their knowledge with organisations within Lithuania and other Baltic States.
The Ambassador Eitvydas Bajarūnas shared some details on Lithuanian politics, economics, history and civil society.
