Presentation of the topic "Management practices for a competitive edge" and a discussion organized
At the invitation of the Embassy of Lithuania and Lithuanian business club in Stockholm in cooperation with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia and Estonian Swedish Chamber of Commerce presentation of the topic "Management practices for a competitive edge" by Jannis Angelis, Associate Professor of Operations Strategy at KTH and Fellow at IFN took place on 4th of March.
The discussions were followed by a networking evening. Event took place at the residence of the Lithuanian Ambassador. Dr. Jannis Angelis is an Associate Professor of Operations Strategy at KTH and fellow at IFN. He has a PhD on operational flexibility from Cambridge. He has also explored strategy at Harvard, flexibility and productivity in knowledge-intensive firms at Stanford and Berkeley, the human side lean at Cambridge, and high performance organizations at Oxford and MIT. He is primarily focused on how competitiveness is realized and maintained. Professional roles include work on export processing zones at the ILO (UN), associate director in a VC firm in London, director of a niche consulting firm, and international consultant at ITC (WTO/UNCTAD).
