Possibilities to further expand cooperation in the areas of transportation and logistics discussed
Ambassador of Lithuania to Sweden Eitvydas Bajarūnas on 8 April visited the port of Södertälje, where he met with the Mayor and Council President of Södertälje Boel Godner, Managing Director of the port of Södertälje Erik Froste and Commercial Director of port Per Fredman.
The participants of the meeting discussed cooperation between Swedish and Lithuanian regions, possibilities to further develop transport links between our countries. Ambassador E.Bajarūnas expressed satisfaction that the geography of cooperation is expanding and noted that Lithuania seeks to take advantage of the opportunities to further develop transport infrastructure in the Baltic Sea region and increase its role in the global trade logistics. “Efficient transport and communication systems expand business opportunities, ensure closer cultural and social ties, increase the mobility of the population, expanding international cooperation and tourism, improve the business environment and encourages its diversification", highlighted the ambassador.
