Nuclear energy safety issues discussed with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Energy of Sweden

On 23 March Lithuanian Ambassador Eitvydas Bajarūnas was accepted by Yvonne Ruwaida, State Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Energy of Sweden. During the conversation the need to continue to bring international attention to the issues of nuclear safety in the Baltic Sea region was discussed, taking into account two nuclear projects in Belarus and Kaliningrad being implemented in the vicinity of Lithuania and Sweden. Also the need to continue to seek high ambitions concerning climate changes was higlihted. Nordic and Baltic cooperation on environment issues were also addressed during the meeting.
