Bajarūnas we can be pleased with the fact that more and more Swedish tourists are visiting Lithuania every year. The growing interest will be enhanced by new direct flight of SAS Stockholm – Vilnius, which will be opened form March 31. Also Ryanair rout Stockholm – Kaunas will be renewed form the April 2.  Initiators of joint Lithuanian resorts stand are Lithuania Embassy and Druskininkai tourist information centre. At the opening of the stand participated in dozens of Swedish journalists and tour operators. Participants of the event exchanged information about a possible cooperation and prospects of promoting cooperation

between Lithuania and Sweden.

At the opening of the stand participated also Lithuanian Honorary Consul Birgitta Jacobsson Ekblom and as well as representative of Lithuanian Tourism Office, which started its work at the beginning of 2013. Increasing the incoming tourism from the Nordic markets, as well as raising the awareness of Lithuania and improving the image of the country among Scandinavians and Finns are three main tasks of Lithuanian Tourism Office.
