Lithuanian language presented in European Day of Languages in Stockholm

On 27 September the annual European Day of Languages was organized in Stockholm by the European Commission Representation Office and Goethe Institute in cooperation with the diplomatic missions and cultural centers.
The representatives of the Lithuanian embassy in Sweden presented at the event the Lithuanian language. Participants had an opportunity to get acquainted with the one of the oldest European languages and learn a few basic Lithuanian phrases.
The event was attended by over 600 students of the Stockholm secondary schools. The vent aims to introduce the high variety of foreign European languages and promote them, introduce cultural heritage, as well as motivate language learning.
