Lithuanian Embassy in Sweden organized a meeting for the EU Ambassadors with Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt

On October 29, continuing Lithuanian EU Presidency events in Sweden, Lithuanian Embassy organized a meeting for the EU member states and candidates Ambassadors with Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt. Ambassador of Lithuania Eitvydas Bajarūnas introduced Lithuanian EU Presidency by emphasizing the Eastern Partnership Summit which will be held in three weeks in Vilnius. He also thanked C.Bildt for Swedish support during Lithuanian EU Presidency. During the meeting Minister C.Bildt overviewed main Swedish foreign policy priorities as well as the most important issues of European and international policy agenda. C. Bildt focused on the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius, the EU enlargement, as well as the situation in Russia and Syria.

During the EU Presidency Lithuanian Embassy in Sweden has already organized meetings with Sweden's Minister of Finance and Secretary of State for Energy. It is also planned to organize meetings with Swedish Prime Minister, Ministers for Defense and the EU Affairs as well as Foreign Policy Spokesman of the Social Democratic Party.
