Lithuanian Embassy in Sweden held a business forum in Stockholm

October 2, 2012 Lithuanian Embassy in Swedent ogether with the organization “Global Lithuanian Leaders” (GLL) in support of “Enterprise Lithuania” (VšĮ „Versli Lietuva“) held a forum “Future Nordic-Baltic Economies” that was hosted in the residence of the Lithuanian Ambassador. The forum was attended by the Lithuanian Minister of Economy Rimantas Žylius, members of an informal Lithuanian business club in Stockholm, and Lithuanians working in business in various countries. Among other issues, Lithuanian business interests inSweden and the development of Lithuanian-Swedish economic relations were discussed in the event. During the forum presentations were made by the Minister of Economy R. Žylius, as well as the representatives of the Swedish Trade Council, investment company East Capital, organization GLL, Swedbank and SEB banks.

 

During the working visit to Stockholm on October 2-3, the Minister of Economy R. Žylius met the Swedish State Secretary for Trade Gunnar Oom, Chairman of the Board of SEB Marcus Wallenberg and representatives of various companies. Lithuanian priorities during the EU Presidency in 2013 as well as investment opportunities were presented during the meetings. As a guest of honor the Minister also attended a round-table discussion/business lunch that was organized by Swedbank, Lithuanian Embassy in Sweden and “Enterprise Lithuania” where together with the representatives of 15 Swedish companies he discussed the practice of global business service centers and future perspectives. The Minister gave a lecture “Economic Crisis: window of opportunity to implement vital reforms” at the Stockholm School of Economics.
