Embassy of Lithuania in Sweden organized meeting of Baltic, Nordic and the US ambassadors on regional cooperation
On the 16th of October 2012 Embassy of Lithuania has organized informal meeting of E-PINE (Enhanced Partnership in Northern Europe) format to discuss regional cooperation and other relevant international policy issues. Ambassador of Lithuania Eitvydas Bajarūnas hosted event with participation of Political Director of Swedish MFA B. Lyrvall, Ambassador of the US to Sweden M. Brzezinski as well as other Nordic and Baltic states ambassadors. Lithuanian coordination of Nordic Baltic Eight (NB8) and E-PINE formats as well as priorities of Sweden as forthcoming coordinator of these formats were discussed during the meeting. B. Lyrvall has also presented information about Arctic Council agenda chaired by Sweden.
It is the second meeting of regional ambassadors initiated by the Embassy of Lithuania. The first one took place in the fall of 2011 where ambassadors of NB8 format gathered.
