Discussion with foreign policy spokesman of Social Democratic Party during the EU ambassadors meeting in Stockholm
Continuing the Lithuanian EU Presidency events in Sweden, the Lithuanian Embassy organized a meeting for the ambassadors of the EU member and candidate states with Urban Ahlin, foreign policy spokesman of Social Democratic Party. During the event Lithuanian Ambassador Eitvydas Bajarūnas presented Lithuanian EU Presidency. He emphasized the upcoming Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius, which is going to be very important event for development of the partnership with the Eastern neighbors. U. Ahlin reviewed the most important Swedish foreign policy priorities as well as the issues of the EU and international politics. He focused on the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius, Nordic-Baltic cooperation, the situation in Syria, the cooperation in the United Nations. The preparations for the next year’s national elections and elections to the European Parliament were also mentioned.
