Cooperation between General Jonas Zemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania and Swedish military education institutions discussed in Stockholm
On the 26th of March, 2012 Ambassador of Republic of Lithuania to the Kingdom of Sweden Eitvydas Bajarūnas attended official dinner at the Karlberg Palace, which was held on the occassion of the visit of Colonel Gintaras Bagdonas, Head of General Jonas Zemaitis Military Academy. On the 26-27 of March Head of the Academy Colonel Gintaras Bagdonas and the Head of the Political Science Department Gediminas Vitkus met representatives of Swedish National Defense College and Swedish Military Academy. Both parties has exchanged the information on military training and education systems.
Col. Gintaras Bagdonas has introduced activities of General Jonas Zemaitis Military Academy and discussed possible cooperation with aforementioned Swedish institutions. The most viable area of cooperation is an exchange of cadets and tutors according to the EU Erasmus program.
