Consular Mission in Malmo
On 13 March Lithuanian Embassy to the Kingdom of Sweden has organized a consular mission to Malmö in the south of Sweden. In the premises of the Lithuanian Honorary Consulate General third secretary of the Embassy Monika Bimbaitė provided consular services to Lithuanian citizens. Almost forty applications for passports have been admitted, five newborns registered, numerous declarations of the place of residence filled. On 12 March Monika Bimbaitė also met the representatives of the Lithuanian community in Skane and discussed the organization of community activities, applications for financing from the Department of Lithuanians Living abroad, and the possibilities of closer cooperation with the Honorary Consuls. In order to make consular services more accessible to Lithuania citizens living in Sweden, it is intended to organize consular missions in the future as well.
