Business conditions in Lithuania presented during the seminar in Sweden
On the 25th of March 2014, the seminar about business conditions in Lithuania took place in Jönköping. The seminar “Doing business with Lithuania” was organized by the Jönköping Chamber of Commerce together with the Lithuanian Embassy in Sweden with the contribution of the honorary consul of Lithuania in Jönköping Gunnar Lans. Among the attendees of the event were the representatives of Jönköping city and region companies, consultants and legal companies. In the event the greeting speech was told by the Lithuanian Ambassador in Sweden Eitvydas Bajarūnas. Business conditions in Lithuania were presented by the “Invest in Lithuania” agency representative Gediminas Koryzna and Marijampole free economic zone director Simonas Petrulis. Companies “ROL” and “Leinonen” shared their experience of business development in Lithuania.
According to ambassador E. Bajarūnas it is essential to talk about business opportunities not only in Stockholm - the capital of Sweden, but also in other important Swedish centers of business and industry, especially when we look at decentralization and regional specialization, which is present in Sweden. There is a lack of information about what Lithuanian industry and science is able to offer in other regions of Sweden. The Lithuanian embassy together with the commercial attaché office will continue its active search for opportunities to present business conditions in Lithuania for other Swedish regions.
