Bilateral consultations on Eastern policy held in Stockholm
On the 9th of October 2012 Lithuanian Embassy in Sweden initiated bilateral consultation on Eastern policy and Eastern Partnership issues in Stockholm with participation of Edminas Bagdonas, Director of Eastern Neighbourhood Policy Department, MFA, and Ambassador for Eastern Partnership Co-ordination Vaidotas Verba. During the consultations meetings with the Political Director of Swedish MFA Björn Lyrvall and Director of Eastern Europe and Central Asia Department Malena Mård was held. Participants shared their opinions on the situation in the Eastern neighbourhood countries. Lithuanian delegation presented Lithuania's EU presidency priorities in the field of the Eastern partnership.
Lithuanian diplomats have also met the representatives of the Swedish International Development Agency and discussed the possible future projects as well as Swedish aid for the Belarusian European Humanitarian University located in Vilnius.
