Ambassador visited Lithuanian Sunday school
On 9 September 2012 Lithuanian ambassador Eitvydas Bajarūnas participated in the begining of the new school year event at the Sunday school "Saulė" which was founded by the Lithuanian community in Stockholm. The Ambassador welcomed everybody back and congratulated children, teachers and parents with the start of a new school year. During the event, new teachers of the school have been presented and the official acknowledgement from the speaker of the Lithuanian Parliament Irena Degutienė has been delivered to Lilija Bakanauskaitė who is a long working and dedicated teacher, as well as one of the school founders, for fostering Lithuanian community. Similar Lithuanian Sunday schools are also established by the Lithuanian community in Göteborg, Helsingborg and Västerås.
