Ambassador of Lithuania to Sweden Eitvydas Bajarūnas discussed bilateral regional cooperation in Sundsvall
Lithuanian Ambassador to Sweden Eitvydas Bajarūnas visited Sundsvall, located in the northern part of Sweden, on the 22nd of February. The main purpose of the trip was development of relations with the different regions of Sweden. In Sundsvall E. Bajarūnas met representatives of the town municipality, tourism, business and culture sectors.
During the meeting with municipality officials Ambassador introduced priorities of Lithuanian foreign policy, including Baltic and Nordic states cooperation, forthcoming Lithuanian Presidency of the EU Council in 2013, economic situation and possibilities for investment, regional cooperation policy, etc.
E. Bajarūnas also suggested helping to search out the partner town for Sundsvall in Lithuania.
In the Museum of Photography of Sundsvall the Ambassador opened an exhibition of one of the most well-known photographer of Lithuania Antanas Sutkus. The exhibition will be opened from 22nd of February till 15th of April.
