Ambassador of Lithuania promoted regional cooperation in Köping
On September 18, 2012 Lithuanian Ambassador to Sweden Eitvydas Bajarūnas visited the city of Köping where during the meetings with representatives of Municipality of Köping as well as education, culture and business sectors promoted stronger regional relations between Sweden and Lithuania. During the trip Ambassador had an opportunity to visit different enterprises located in Köping as well as Västra Mälardalen Tecknikcollege to meet the school managers. During the meeting at the municipality, E. Bajarūnas presented the economic situation in Lithuania, investment climate as well as shared the main priorities for the Lithuanian EU presidency in 2013. Deputy Governor of Västmanland Sofia Wallström presented her view for future cooperation. At the end of the visit together with the representatives of the city E. Bajarūnas greeted and later on watched the qualifications match for European table tennis championship between Swedish and Lithuanian women national teams.
