Ambassador of Lithuania has presented national priorities in the field of security and defence
On April 23, 2013, Ambassador of Lithuania met representatives of Swedish National Defence College and participants of the courses organized by this institution. He presented priorities of Lithuania in the field of security and defence.
Ambassador has stressed that security environment in Lithuania after membership in the EU and NATO. He also pointed out increasing importance of energy security. E. Bajarūnas informed about priorities during Lithuanian EU Presidency and noted that European Council in December will be devoted for defence issues.
In the beginning of April Swedish National Defence College has organized special courses in Lithuania on civil crisis management.
Embassy of Lithuania has assumed teh duties as NATO contact point embassy in Sweden for the period 2013-2014.
