Ambassador of Lithuania Eitvydas Bajarūnas discussed bilateral relations as well as relevant issues of the EU and international agenda with State Secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Frank Belfrage
On 23rd of February Ambassador Lithuania Eitvydas Bajarūnas had a meeting with State Secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Frank Belfrage. Bilateral relations, cooperation between Baltic and Nordic states, relevant issues of the EU and international agenda as well as energy cooperation were discussed during the working lunch.
It was agreed during the meeting that bilateral relations between Lithuania and Sweden are developing successfully. Importance of cooperation between Baltic and Nordic states was emphasized.
Next year Sweden will take over coordination of Baltic and Nordic states (NB8) cooperation from Lithuania.
Other high ranking diplomats of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden as well as top representatives of energy company Svenska Kraftnät, which is responsible for implementation of NordBalt project (electricity interconnection) from Swedish side, and Swedbank attended the meeting.
