Ambassador encouraged Lithuanian companies to look for export possibilities in Sweden more actively
Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Kingdom of Sweden Eitvydas Bajarūnas and representatives of Commercial Attaché office in Stockholm on the 25th of April, 2012 attended the largest food industry event in Northern Europe GastroNord which is held every second year. Representatives of the Embassy visited stands of Lithuanian companies and exchanged information on perspectives of collaboration between Lithuania and Sweden in food industry sector. Ambassador encouraged Lithuanian companies to look for export possibilities in Sweden more actively exploring every avenue of Lithuanian diplomats and Commercial Attaché.
GastroNord is the biggest event of hotel, restaurants and cafeteria (HoReCa) sector in Scandinavia. The fair was arranged for the first time in 1985 and have become the most important meeting point for products and services for catering, hotels and restaurants over the years. The main exhibitor areas at the show are food and beverage, packaging, interior fittings and decoration, hygiene and cleaning equipment, appliances, clothing, IT, training.
This year in GastroNord participating 13 Lithuanian companies including “Biržų duona”, Gudobėlė”, “Agrovet”, “Dione Ice Cream” (“Klaipėdos pienas”), “Vesiga”, “Alvas ir Co”, “Amber pasta”, Rūta JSC”, “Naujoji Rūta”, ,,Danvita”, ,,Liūtukas ir Ko“, ,,Žemaitijos pienas“ and ,,Boslita ir Ko”.
