Ambassador Eitvydas Bajarūnas discussed implementation of NordBalt project during the meeting with Director General of Svenska Kraftnät Mikael Odenberg

Ambassador Eitvydas Bajarūnas had a meeting with Director General of Svenska Kraftnät Mikael Odenberg. This company togehter with Lithuanian transmission system operator Litgrid is responsible for implementation for electricity interconnection project NordBalt. M. Odenberg noted that NordBalt projected is implementing according to the schedule. He stressed the political support from both sides for implementation of the project. Ambassador E. Bajarūnas emphasized that NordBalt is the project of strategic importance, which will help to integrate Baltic and Nordic electricity markets as well as strengthen energy security of Lithuania.
