Ambassador Eitvydas Bajarūnas discussed cooperation possibilities between Lithuanian cities and Stockholm
On 13th of March Ambassador of Republic of Lithuania to the Kingdom of Sweden Eitvydas Bajarūnas met with President of the City Council Margareta Björk to discuss cooperation possibilities between Lithuanian cities and Stockholm. Margareta Björk supported the idea of strengthening cooperation between Lithuanian cities and Stockholm as well as promised to share their experience in administering the city, developing innovative science centers, etc. She briefly presented Stockholm’s future vision (Vision 2030) and introduced particular innovative and environmental friendly projects – Hammarby Sjöstad and Stockholm Royal Seaport.
Ambassador Eitvydas Bajarūnas informed about implementation of strategic infrastructure projects - new nuclear power plant in Visaginas, eletricity interconnection project NordBalt and others. He stressed the importance of Swedish investment in Lithuania.
